Cash advance apps and Cash App

In brief

Cash App’s own Borrow is the advance built for Cash App users; its flat fee is shown only in the app. Few other advance apps accept a Cash App account: Dave and Klover say in their help centres that they don’t, Gerald claims it does only in a blog post, and the rest say only that they work with “most banks”. The usual route is an advance to your bank, then a transfer to Cash App.

Questions

What cash advance apps work with Cash App?

Cash App’s own Borrow is the one designed for it, offered in the app to eligible users. Of the other apps, Dave and Klover say in their help centres that they don’t support Cash App; Gerald says yes only in a blog post, which conflicts with Gerald’s help centre rule against digital-wallet cards. The rest use “most banks” wording.

Can I get a cash advance sent to Cash App?

Usually indirectly. Most advance apps send money to a traditional bank account or its debit card; from there you can move it to Cash App yourself. Apps that read your bank transactions generally need your income to arrive in a supported checking account.

How much does Cash App Borrow cost?

Cash App charges a one-time flat fee based on the loan amount, shown before you accept. It doesn’t publish the fee, so we can’t convert it to an APR. Borrow money lands instantly in your Cash App balance.
