Cash advance APR calculator
Pick one of 26 apps to load its published fees for the amount you need, or type in what your app shows you. The calculator adds up the membership, fees and any tip, and turns the total into an effective APR with the formula shown underneath. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Fees and terms checked · Not financial advice
Presets use the most the published terms allow: the top of a fee range, the price without a deposit discount, and the app’s standard price where it varies by state (methodology). Start at $100 and 14 days to match the ranking. Not financial advice.
Using the calculator
How do I work out the APR of a cash advance?
Add up everything you pay for it (membership for the month, any fee, the instant-delivery fee and any tip), divide by the amount you receive, multiply by 365 divided by the number of days until it’s repaid, and multiply by 100. $5 on $100 for 14 days is 130%.
Why is the APR so high when the fee is small?
Because the time is short. A $5 fee for two weeks is charged 26 times in a year’s worth of two-week periods. The same $5 on $100 for 30 days is 61%.
Should I count the whole monthly membership?
If you take one advance a month, yes: you pay the membership whether or not you borrow. If you take several, set “advances this month” and the calculator splits it. If you keep the membership for other features you’d pay for anyway, set it to zero.
Does it work for loans with several payments?
Only roughly. The formula assumes one repayment. For an installment loan, use the APR printed in the loan agreement, which lenders have to disclose.
